About The Dark Man:  Several years ago I had an idea for a video game about a haunted hotel, cursed...or something. (The story I didn't really work out too much.) The main villain (the final boss) is known only by the name "The Dark Man". This hooded, cloaked figure (although sometimes he wears a short, widely brimmed black hat that casts a shadow on his eyes) exudes a general sense of evil, and is the inspiration for the name I use here, and most places on the Internet.

Note, however, that he is not a creator like me. :-)

Here are some songs that I wrote on Punk-o-Matic (on Evil-Dog's website). The song codes are unfortunately no longer available, since http://punk-o-matic.tk has become defunct, though I still have them myself. I'm not going to post them, however. All songs here are the latest revisions.

"Restless Dreams: Experiments in Punk-o-Matic" contains 15 high-quality Punk-o-Matic songs, featuring the first 8 above, and 7 songs never before available for download. All songs are mp3s, downloadable in this rarfile (you can open it with WinRAR). This album was updated 04-30-07 to include "Reflection in a Shattered Glass." The files should contain the album order data, but in case they don't, here's the list:

Tears of the Soul  --  3:16  --  this is a song just on the piano that I wrote maybe a year ago.
Abandoned Prison  --  1:36  --  this is the first song I completed using ACID. I think it's alright. Nice ambient feel to it.
Dead Men's March  --  1:39  --  another piano song. Variations of the same chord throughout for a semi-eerie effect.
Sorrow  --  2:41  --  melancholy piano song. Shifts a lot between themes.
My Ghost  --  3:16  --  piano song using the pedal. Sounds pretty creepy but cool, I think.
The Inner Storm --  3:05  --  orchestral piece with 3 parts: violin, viola/cello, bass. I really like the recurring themes.
Rage  --  2:53  --  piano song. Intense in some parts. You may be able to see why I picked the name...
Rise of the Phoenix  --  6:15  --  A masterpiece for an orchestra. The solos towards the end convey the image of the rising phoenix, I believe. Enjoy!
Chasing Death  --  2:43  --  an eerie tune conveying an image of death, and running.
My Shadow  --  3:51  --  similar to My Ghost, piano song using pedal.
Clock Tower  --  4:55  --  It ticks...but something's moving. It starts at 9:00, then goes to 10, 11, and 12. Listen closely and you can hear the 12 chimes of midnight, before it gets really crazy. Several instruments here, including cello, bass, woodblock, flute, trumpet, trombone, bassoon, and tuba.

The following songs will be part of an upcoming album titled "Hold Onto Your Sanity", which will be finalized and released in a rar once I have enough songs for it.

My Reflection  --  2:58  --  Follows in the style of My Ghost and My Shadow, but is much more relaxed and calm, like a mirror image of the other songs.
My Darker Half  --  1:56  --  Here I try to do something a little more original than the other songs called "My ___". I love the ending.
A War of One  --  2:49  --  A dark classical piece, using a string quartet, timpani, and snare drum. This one took a lot of work, and I'm very satisfied with the introduction and conclusion.
Research & Development  --  2:41  --  I like how this turned out, especially the harp in the beginning, the middle, and the flute in the end. Available exclusively through iLike!
My Nightmare  --  2:51  --  I still like the "My" series, though I guess C Minor's getting old. Like My Reflection, I put in a small throwback to My Shadow.
